After nearly 40 years at its office in
Camp Hill, PSATS recently moved into its new headquarters in Hampden
Township, Cumberland County. The staff is settled in, the welcome
mat is out, and PSATS members are being encouraged to visit.
PSATS knows the importance of township
work and is committed to strengthening and preserving township
government. Our job? To educate, inform, and lobby on behalf of
township officials so they can, in turn, better serve their communities.
This article features an overview of the services PSATS provides
to its members.
There are a lot of new faces - and plenty
of familiar ones - around PSATS these days. That's why we thought
it would be nice to introduce our members to the Association's
staff, who not only answer your questions but also develop and
manage PSATS' growing list of programs and services.
PSATS lost one of its strongest leaders
this past November when its immediate past president, Dr. Richard
Derstine, died from injuries he received in a fall. His friends
and colleagues remember the man who was tough on the outside but
had a heart of gold inside.
